The Sr. Manager of Sales positions will manage the day-to-day functions of Inside Sales and Sales Support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

  • Attract, hire and train new employees. Lead Inside Sales and Sales Administration by communicating and managing expectations and job results. Coach employees while implementing systems, policies and procedures

  • Facilitate the processes of all sales-related tasks, complete and approve administrative paperwork, and maintain a sales database. Modify workflow processes to increase productivity, as needed

  • Develop interpersonal working relationships as a liaison among customers, commercial managers, and other departments to align goals, solve problems and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain marketing reports/data to support the commercial department

  • Responsible for budget preparation; monitor costs and analyze variances. Review and approve invoices for daily expenditures

Basic Requirements:

  • 7 years of inside sales or customer service experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related area

  • 2+ years experience managing a team of sales or customer service professionals

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.

  • Sufficient knowledge of aerospace, defense, or heavy industrial manufacturing

  • Oracle, Maximo, etc. experience a plus.

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to successfully balance multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely thru the implementation of long-term solutions.

  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflict.

  • Ability to foster collaborations, inspire confidence, and motivate individuals across diverse teams in a manufacturing environment in order to meet objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement improvements using lean initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to perform financial analyses, determine expected gross profits and variances, and present cost and pricing data
