We are seeking a Material Handler to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for moving materials from the production floor to the shipping area. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and be able to work independently.
This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am working Monday through Thursday. Training will take place on the same shift.
Additional Responsibilities
Operate forklift to receive product, stage pallets, move super sacks, and stock inventory
Receive orders from the floor lead and through radios
Work from sales, shipping or other orders and documents to locate and accumulate all specified materials to fill individual orders.
Apply prescribed color or other coding and identification to materials.
Enter quantity, mill order number and other data on mill order traveler for forwarding to Production Planning for bill of lading preparation.
Detect and report defective materials and improper and unusual conditions to proper supervision
Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) year of sit-down forklift experience
