Your role
As Maintenance Technician, you will provide technical support on production and broadcast-server systems, including both hardware and software, to ensure their reliability, availability and maintenance. You must perform all tasks related to maintaining production equipment, inform Production of any (temporary) system limitations, and troubleshoot with vendors and/or maintenance technicians. You will also play an active role in implementing, modifying and reconfiguring systems, as well as perform operating system updates on production and broadcast servers.
Please note that these positions are on call.
You possess:
Qualifications:
College diploma (DCS) in Electronics Technology (audiovisual, telecommunications or computing systems option) or a relevant field
Five (5) years' experience performing related duties
Skills:
Highly skilled at network computing
Highly skilled in troubleshooting electronic circuits, soldering electronic components, and wiring
Very good knowledge of digital audio/video production; Information Technology and Servers
Able to analyze faults and make quick, independent decisions
Team player
Training skills
Very good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work well under pressure and guide teams when systems go down
Broad, varied knowledge of production methods, technical equipment, as well as production crafts and workflows
Judgment and initiative to resolve technical issues
