IT Systems Analyst - Kronos Timekeeping
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Kronos Timekeeping IT Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our Kronos timekeeping system, ensuring that it integrates seamlessly with HR, payroll, and other business processes. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient time tracking and payroll processing, and provide technical troubleshooting, system updates, and user training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration and Support:
Administer the Kronos timekeeping software (or other related workforce management tools) to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant employee time and attendance data.
Configure and maintain Kronos system settings, user access, and permissions, and troubleshoot system issues as they arise.
Monitor system performance, resolve technical problems, and escalate to vendors or senior technical support when necessary.
System Implementation and Upgrades:
Assist in the implementation and upgrades of the Kronos system, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Work closely with IT teams and external vendors during system updates and upgrades to ensure compatibility with other business systems (HRIS, payroll, etc.).
Data Integration and Reporting:
Maintain and ensure accurate integration between the Kronos system and other enterprise systems (e.g., payroll, HRMS, ERP).
Develop and generate regular and ad hoc reports related to timekeeping, attendance, and labor costs, providing insights to management and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws through accurate system configurations and reporting.
User Support and Training:
Provide ongoing support to end-users, including troubleshooting system issues, addressing user queries, and ensuring the system is fully functional for all employees.
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for employees and managers on best practices for using the Kronos system.
Process Improvement:
Analyze timekeeping workflows and suggest process improvements or system configurations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor trends and changes in labor regulations that may require adjustments to system configurations or business processes.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure the system adheres to applicable labor laws, company policies, and security standards.
Manage user access and roles, ensuring that sensitive data is protected and systems are secure from unauthorized access.
Collaboration:
Work closely with HR, payroll, and IT departments to support the overall workforce management strategy and troubleshoot any cross-functional issues.
Liaise with Kronos vendors or consultants for troubleshooting, escalations, and system optimization recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience working with Kronos timekeeping systems (such as Kronos Workforce Central or Workforce Dimensions) or similar workforce management solutions.
Previous experience working in payroll, HR, or workforce management is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Kronos Workforce Central or Kronos Workforce Dimensions .
Experience with Kronos configuration , including time rules, pay policies, schedules, and user access management.
