Plant Manager

Modugno, Italy

Job Summary:

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence? Trane Technologies is seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to oversee our Modugno facility. In this pivotal role, you will manage the overall operations of the plant in alignment with our company's strategies and policies. You will be responsible for establishing and achieving both short- and long-term objectives to ensure the plant's viability and success. Your leadership will drive the day-to-day activities to meet financial and operational goals, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and deadline requirements. Additionally, you will advise on strategic projects, support new product introductions, and spearhead process improvement initiatives. Relations:

  • Reports to the "Operations Leader Italy"

  • Interacts frequently with internal contacts at all levels of the plant to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale, and high employee engagement

  • Represents the plant leadership with external contacts.

  • Collaboration and partnership with different departments

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting a team of seven managers

  • Ensuring employee health and safety

  • Overseeing the production and the target volumes (quality, cost, delivery) ensuring operational productivity and alignment with customer demands

  • Identifying and implementing of sustainability projects

  • Monitoring of quality and financial indicators

  • Fostering a culture of diversity & inclusion and drive employee engagement

  • Development of plant policies and procedures and guidance on their implementation

  • Implementation of Lean indicators

  • Monitoring the order book and adjusting the workforce as required

  • Daily monitoring of production results in terms of costs, quality and deadlines

  • Regular reporting as required per company standards

  • Identification and follow-up of continuous process improvement projects in alignment with transformation and investment plans

  • Follow-up of new product introduction projects

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as plant manager at an international manufacturer

  • Experience in leading people and teams

  • Fluency in Italian, min. B2 English

  • Knowledge of lean tools

  • Agile mindset

  • Ability to act as strategic leader, inspire and support the team

  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data
