Actalent Quality Control Technician in Mocksville, North Carolina

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in testing and recording all raw materials to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements. You will receive training on advanced equipment such as the Moving Die Rheometer (MDR) and Rubber Process Analyzer (RPA) to determine the optimal cure time of rubber and analyze compounds before, during, and after vulcanization. Your responsibilities will include utilizing laboratory equipment to test incoming raw materials, certifying and logging completed tests, ensuring materials are within specified expiration dates, and performing extensions testing as needed. You will demonstrate sound judgment concerning the release or restriction of materials, properly label and tag approved or rejected materials, and liaise with production, suppliers, and third-party testing facilities to ensure all requirements are met. Additionally, you will issue Corrective Actions to suppliers for materials not meeting specifications, maintain lab equipment, including recalibration, and develop and maintain supplier scorecards for quality and delivery.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mocksville, North Carolina.

Work Environment

You will work in both lab and production environments. Your role will require interfacing with the workforce to process instructions and queries, managing to assist with projects and resolve queries, and ensuring that quality standards and specifications with suppliers and vendors are met. You will also collaborate with lab personnel for guidance on testing and recording.
