RN Manager in Emergency Services Unit in Providence St. Patrick Hospital Missoula, MT

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical and operational management of the patient care area to promote the delivery of the highest quality of care and service. The Clinical Nurse Manager has authority and accountability for patient care processes, clinical skill development, clinical outcomes, and customer and employee satisfaction. The Clinical Nurse Manager supervises the staff and nurse team members.

The Providence St. Patrick Hospital Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center, Behavioral Health and is a Joint Commission Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, including thrombolytic and interventional radiology for acute ischemic stroke. These services include radiology, respiratory, surgical services, social services, behavioral health assessment and referral, tele-stroke, pastoral care, nutritional services, and physical services. St. Patrick Hospital is a top cardiology hospital, and the department of cardiology provides critical emergent support for cath lab interventions or emergent cardiac/vascular surgical needs.

Shift details: Full-time, 1 FTE (40 working hours per week), day shift position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Upon hire: Montana Registered Nurse License

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • 3 years Nursing experience in the specialty of the unit (Emergency Department RN in at least a level II trauma center)

  • 1 year Previous experience in a leadership role

  • 1 year Must have a good understanding of quality outcome measures specific to clinical Unit and be able to apply indicators and quality outcomes to drive bedside practice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing

  • Upon hire: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
