Stanley Black and Decker Specialty Territory Manager, MEP in Mississauga, Ontario

SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Ontario Specialty Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sales of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) related products to their assigned account base coupled with end user conversions. The Specialty Territory Manager candidate will be a highly motivated and hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive industrial construction environment. The candidate must possess strong negotiation, presentation, and product knowledge skills, and the ability to implement various sales and marketing programs to their customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve top line sales and standard margin budgets

  • Present and execute Marketing promotions and programs to assigned customer base; develop, execute and track account plans

  • Develop and nurture strong account relationships including the local assigned MEP agency

  • Identify new customer prospects and sell our products value proposition

  • Use product and market knowledge to provide full business solutions

  • Drive sales through end user’s activities, distributor sales work along, demos and end user calls

  • Design and execute “sell in” and “sell through” promotional plans for key Industrial

  • Provide monthly (6 month) rolling sales and sku forecast by business

  • Co-ordinate and participate in regional and national trade shows both from a corporate and at the local distributor level

  • Manage the business within assigned Co-op and T&E budgets

  • Manage “On Loan” Account

  • Provide feedback on competitive activity to the marketing group

  • Build and maintain relationships with key distribution partners

  • Manage the training of end-users on new products throughout the territory

  • Cross collaboration with team members in the assigned region.

  • Determine strategic planning related to new product lines

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post secondary education in a Marketing, Business, Engineering or relative field of study

  • 3+ years’ experience in industrial power tools, accessories and other related Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing products with a sales mindset

  • Experience conducting product training within a distribution and end user environment.

  • Proficiency in using SAP/BW /Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal communication skills

  • Team player and client focused individual

  • Proven ownership of work, doing what is needed without being asked, following through

  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

  • P.C. Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint

  • Must be flexible for occasional overnight travel

  • Excellent time and territory management skills
