The Opportunity

We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. The primary role of the Forecasting Manager is to support the business objectives of senior leadership and other business partners by developing and managing the country forecasting models as well as bridging insights and analyses to actionable strategy. The Forecasting Manager will take a leadership role in driving market planning activities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to inform decision making.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverages market knowledge, primary and secondary data, and KPI’s to develop short-term and long-term forecasts, commercial opportunity assessments, and uncertainty analyses.

  • Performs Bottom-up and Top-down forecasting to support with short-term forecasting and long-range plan processes.

  • Develops robust market model projections and scenarios in collaboration with business partners.

  • Proactively provides recommendations to support market strategies and business investment decisions.

  • Provides business and finance teams with analysis that yields actionable insights that support with increase market share, sales, and margin.

  • Builds and establishes Forecast Center of Excellence.

  • Develops, designs, enhances, and maintains analytical reports utilizing various information sources and software systems.

  • Gains understanding of the content, use, and implication of key dashboards and business insight tools and communicates findings in a strategic fashion to provide council and recommendations for further action.

  • Identifies key business questions/issues, performs analysis, and summarizes conclusions/ recommendations in the development and delivery of business reviews.

  • Responds to queries from the business in terms of business insight needs related to the assigned brand.

  • Provides week/month/year-end updated data to business.

  • Attends all relevant sales management or regional meetings, supporting business with data required for meeting preparation.

  • Prepares ongoing and ad-hoc reports/analysis related to the organization’s performance.

Required Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required, MBA, Master’s is preferred.

  • 5+ years of forecasting and analytical experience desired, preferably in the healthcare industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel models and in market BI tools.

  • Learns, understands, and acquires advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence and Sales Analysis tools and software.

  • Possesses strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong executive presence and analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years forecasting experience incl. market and strategic planning and predictive modeling.

  • Experience with healthcare and pharmaceutical data sources such as Claims data, prescribing data, pharmacy level sales data and patient utilization data.

  • Strong marketing science/secondary data analytics experience.
