BECOME AN EXTERIOR AIRCRAFT CLEANER!
Our Exterior Aircraft Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of the aircrafts exterior. You will utilize specialized cleaning products and equipment to wash, wax, and polish the aircraft, ensuring meeting safety and aesthetic standards. Following strict protocols to work efficiently to minimize ground time, while paying attention to detail. In this role you will conduct inspections for surface damages or wears and report findings to leadership to maintain the overall appearance of the aircraft.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN EXTERIOR AIRCRAFT CLEANER
Wash and clean the exterior of aircrafts, including the fuselage, wings, and tail
Use specialized cleaning products and equipment to remove dirt, grease, and stains
Document cleaning activities and report any irregularities to supervisors
Inspect the aircraft's exterior for any damage or maintenance issues and report findings
Follow all safety protocols while working at heights and around aircraft
Coordinate with ground crew and maintenance staff for aircraft positioning and safety
Comply with environmental regulations regarding the use and disposal of cleaning solvents and fluids
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment storage
Ensure the aircraft's appearance meets airline and regulatory standards
Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and on time
Participate in training sessions on new cleaning techniques and safety procedures
Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
May assist in the de-icing of aircraft during winter operations
Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety
May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in Canada
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check
Must be able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable
Must be able to push, pull
Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands
Must be able to work at elevated heights
Exposure to outdoor elements
Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel
Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces
Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
