Kuehne+Nagel Customs Brokerage Implementation Manager in Mississauga, Ontario

Your Role

You will lead and manage the Customs Brokerage Implementation process. Your expertise in the Customs and our customers will inform decision making and guide the customer journey. Coordinate the implementation process by leveraging strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to deliver results for internal and external stakeholders. You will also ensure quality service and client satisfaction at each system integration and implementation stage. In this position, you'll provide the support and expertise to keep the implementation process aligned with the organization's objectives, budget, and timeframe

Your Responsibilities

  • Create/maintain a ticketing system (TIC) allowing various Kuehne+Nagel requestors to submit requests for Customs Brokerage Implementation engagement

  • Receive and process project request tickets in preparation of initial discovery and strategy meeting with Account Owner (Account Executive, Key Account Manager)

  • Act as Lead Implementation Manager for Customs Brokerage projects conducting internal and external project kickoff meetings

  • Draft and agree on Project Charter with internal and external project team

  • Prepare and maintain a Project Plan that will outline the agreed deliverables and the status of each up to completion

  • Align with Brokerage Operational leadership to ensure the Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) are prepared, distributed, and maintained in accordance with Quality, GCIM, and corporate communications criteria

  • Create and maintain implementation dashboard with task completion KPIs until project close out

  • Conduct Voice of the Customer surveys and conclude with lessons learned

  • Oversee post implementation audit and feedback to stakeholders

  • Conduct pre award client presentations, in support of securing the client award by outlining the process and benefit of Customs Brokerage Implementation

  • Participate as key stakeholder in Business Unit implementation projects when Customs Brokerage is also awarded

  • Analyze the current processes related to the implementation process and actively seek ways to enhance and improve those processes

  • Create and maintain Canada Customs Brokerage my Kuehne+Nagel community

  • Train staff regarding implementation related criteria during new hire period or periodically as needed

  • Consistently maintain focus and motivation within the team to achieve excellence in all aspects

  • Hire direct reporting staff and maintain staff succession planning

  • Assist Canada Customs Brokerage management with special projects as required

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelors Degree in Business/Logistics/Marketing

  • 4+ years of experience with International Trade/Logistics/Customs Services.

  • Proven experience in Customer Relationship Management within the customs logistics industry.

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) and Customs Compliance Specialist (CCS) certifications are a plus.

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Must be able to work simultaneously on multiple projects of various scope and complexity

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
