Summary:
NCR Atleos, the world's leader in ATM deployment and operations, is aggressively seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager (I) in the Canadian Gaming and Indirect business. This role is responsible for achieving profitable growth through strategy development and effective team leadership. Designs and drives the overall strategy of the Gaming and Indirect business by directing the development of sales plans, strategies, objectives, compensation plans, policies, and procedures conforming to corporate goals. Responsible for driving new customer sales, account retention, and overall Gaming & Indirect business performance, including achievement of transaction volume, revenue, profit, expense, and distribution targets.
The Business Development Manager creates, defines, and implements short and long-term strategies and tactics for the organization to ensure the delivery of quarterly and annual targets. This position works closely with Senior Sales Leaders to expand and grow business in the Gaming & Indirect segments in Canada. Accountable for achieving sales goals and managing strategic activities to accomplish sales objectives, including management of the Gaming & Indirect Sales Reps and other business development personnel. Attains objectives through efficient utilization of resources consistent with Business Unit and Corporate goals. Recruits, trains, and motivates to lead winning teams effectively. Provides direction, prioritization, and development of plans designed to maximize attaining objectives.
The role is expected to drive the development of all Gaming & Indirect compensation programs and customer proposals, manage sales opportunities through pipeline to closure, and lead assigned personnel. Drives and supports strategic initiatives and implements go-to-market plans to launch new products flawlessly. Designs and assigns annual and quarterly performance quotas for team members and develops customer compensation programs to meet evolving financial, customer, and organizational requirements.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Identify prospects aligned with the business strategy to sign up and onboard new merchants and agents in assigned regions. This requires some in-field travel to the assigned territory.
Maintain key customer relationships through contract Renewals and Change of Ownership agreements.
Cross-sells products and services to new and existing customers and sells in new product and service offerings.
Build partnerships with key customers and promptly resolve queries and problems.
Create, implement, execute, and maintain a comprehensive area sales business plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business quotas. Analyze business data on current product information, industry trends, and competitors' offerings to anticipate industry direction and changes and proactively adjust the sales plan accordingly.
Identify sales opportunities within the Independent Business segment to increase the ATM footprint of customer locations where NCR Atleos will place and process ATM terminals consistent with the company's financial/profitability objectives.
Proactively prospect and develop leads within potential new and existing customer networks to expand our customer base. Regular activities include utilizing networking connections, cold calling, on-site customer meetings, social media, or other means of generating interest from potential customers in the assigned territory.
Keep updated activity records on the Company CRM platform (Salesforce).
Maintain an accurate, comprehensive, and updated sales pipeline with 100% of opportunities and activities entered Salesforce as required.
Build and orchestrate sales pipeline activity. Ensure active nurturing of movement of opportunities to close.
Ensures that all customer contracts are done to the correct standards and that all required processes are followed.
Supports management in the achievement of the business plans and targets (such as network, volume, revenue, and profitability)
Implement and maintain a call cycle to ensure the execution of account development strategies, the development of customer relationship excellence, prospecting/closing new business, and minimizing customer churn.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with new and existing clients. Perform research and demonstrate a deep understanding of client business challenges and strategies.
Establish a high level of personal credibility with key customers while providing the appropriate level of customer relationship management (optimal meeting frequency), managing contract proposals and negotiations, acting as key contact during service implementation, and any other customer issues with ownership/oversight and coordination of final resolutions.
Follow established internal sales processes and effectively qualify, document, manage, and forecast opportunities into, through, and out of the sales funnel. Prepare and review sales reports by identifying and evaluating problem areas and company progress.
Attend sales calls with the Manager and provide updates on all relevant sales issues and opportunities.
Attend marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and industry or customer events to generate leads and build customer relationships as required.
Validate correct customer information and ensure proper documents for order processing.
Additional duties as assigned.
SYSTEMS INVOLVED:
- Able to efficiently use Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, CDS Webtools, Service Now, Oracle, etc., as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Proven track record in sales, with demonstrated ability to expand network and markets.
Demonstrated the ability to maintain and deliver new customers, thereby satisfying organizational targets and meeting evolving business needs.
Sells complete portfolio of products and services consistent with business goals and objectives.
Understanding of solution selling and creating value for business clients.
Excellent problem-solving skills, effectively and proactively identifying and analyzing challenges and finding appropriate solutions.
Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; able to prioritize workload, set action plans, and meet deadlines.
Post Secondary degree or equivalent work experience.
Bilingual preferred - Written and verbal fluency in English and French.
Experience in ATM, financial, and transaction processing industry is a plus.
3+ years’ experience in a business-to-business sales environment, creating and executing an area sales management plan.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong customer service skills and orientation.
Ambitious self-starter with a strong desire to win and a high level of resiliency.
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and thrive in a growing and changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to grow market share.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
Proven and seasoned salesperson in pursuing net new clients, developing business, and networking with passion.

Solid track record of meeting sales targets and an undeniable drive to succeed.
Experience selling to independent retail locations, convenience /grocery stores/gas stations/cannabis/gaming, etc.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Must be able to pass all applicable background screening tests.
