Providence Senior Outpatient Neuro Occupational Therapist - Physical Therapy in Mission Viejo, California

Description

Provides direct patient care services in all assigned areas that include evaluation, assessment, treatment planning based on the functional needs of the patients, program development, evaluation of the response to care, and readjustment of the treatment plan as required. The Senior Physical Therapist is a program resource in their specialty areas, an active participant in the competency program, and a mentor for staff and students. Other professional roles include, but are not limited to consultation, education, critical inquiry, program development, administrative duties, and direction of personnel.

Required qualifications:

  • California Occupational Therapist License upon hire.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • 3 years' Experience as a practicing therapist.

  • Experience serving as a clinical instructor for interns and students and participating in presenting in-services to staff/students.

  • Experience with completing a project or special assignment that expanded beyond the program (i.e. related to the facility and community wide).

  • Experience participating in at least one community service event over the past year.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy or

  • D.O. Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy. OTD (Occupational Therapy Doctorate)

  • AOTA Member upon hire.

  • Clinical specialization certification relating to clinical area of practice upon hire
