Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our client on a remote capacity. The Software Engineer will design and develop advanced C++ applications, with an emphasis on service integration and user interface development. This role involves collaborating effectively within Agile teams and includes responsibilities such as designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications. The position requires a readiness to create and sustain software solutions that support modern pharmacy automation workflows and seamless information exchange.
Responsibilities:
Develops moderately to highly complex software in C++ using MFC, focusing on services, service layers, integration with UI and data, UI components, and interactions between the application and database layers.
Analyzes legacy code to understand dependencies and implement modifications without causing unintended side effects.
Utilizes software engineering tools, including configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, and simulators, throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contributes to team success by actively participating in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and suggesting improvements.
Delivers reliable solutions to diverse problems using robust problem-solving methodologies.
Conducts technical root cause analysis and presents multiple solution options for identified issues.
Estimates effort levels, evaluates new technologies, and proposes improvements to enhance development processes.
Collaborates effectively within Agile teams, contributing to the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of client-server applications.
Requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in developing Windows desktop applications using C++.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing graphical user interfaces (GUI).
Familiarity with Windows Services and Windows Security.
Expertise in using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or newer versions.
Experience working with SQL Server 2008 R2 and later versions.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, including manuals, whitepapers, and requirements documents, and deliver development solutions that meet quality assurance standards.
