About the job:

Supports department leaders in managing a 24-hour patient care service operation, ensuring optimal patient care and exceeding customer expectations. Coordinates daily operations, organizes personnel, and promotes a safe environment while adhering to hospital policies and patient safety plans. Acts as a resource for hospital departments, solving complex problems, and addressing staffing and patient care concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient facility operations and optimal patient care delivery.

  • Supervises and evaluates staff, delegating tasks and managing schedules to meet productivity and financial goals.

  • Promotes team collaboration, problem-solving, and independent decision-making among staff.

  • Communicates with directors and supervisors on patient care and employee performance issues.

  • Supports staff development through coaching, training, and orientation of new employees.

  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures, addressing emergencies and ensuring proper documentation of services.

  • Recognizes positive behavior, addresses issues promptly, and fosters a team-oriented work environment.

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.

Licensure: RN Indiana license.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years hospital clinical nursing experience, management experience preferred. The following leadership qualities are desired: Accountability, change management, coaching, drive for improvement, integrity/valuing diversity, integration of mission and core values, patient focus, physician relations, and teamwork.

Other Job Requirements:

Provides direct support and supervision to all departments as appropriate; Assists with direct patient care as required;

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels.

Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
