Overview

Join our team as the Director of Financial Technology and spearhead innovative technology solutions for SGWS. You will oversee the technology budgets and portfolio for all financial functions, bridging the gap between finance and technology. This role is key to driving strategic technological advancements and optimizing financial systems across Corporate Finance, Regional Finance, Commercial Finance, Financial Strategy, and Revenue Management. Lead, mentor, and develop the ETP financial technology team to achieve excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Technology Strategy: Formulate and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's financial goals.

  • Manage Technology Portfolio: Oversee the financial technology portfolio, ensuring effective budget allocation and resource management.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various finance domains to understand and address their technology needs.

  • System Implementation and Optimization: Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools, focusing on SAP platforms.

  • Drive Innovation: Introduce and integrate cutting-edge financial technologies to enhance department capabilities.

  • Cross-Functional Integration: Ensure seamless integration and alignment of financial systems with IT and finance teams.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the financial technology team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Vision and Leadership: Guide the team with short-term tactical steps and long-term strategic direction.

  • Strategic Planning: Prioritize technology initiatives to enhance enterprise architecture and manage current and future technologies.

  • Team Development: Offer stretch opportunities and coaching to develop the team and deliver results.

  • Business Case Development: Create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.

  • Collaboration and Support: Work with departments and vendors to develop and maintain technology plans that support organizational needs.

  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Direct the development and execution of disaster recovery and business contingency plans.

  • Complex Needs Analysis: Analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions to the Executive Team.

  • Resource Management: Ensure adequate IT resources and support for remote users and subsidiaries.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for building and equipment maintenance services.

  • Policy Development: Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for technology acquisition and operation.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the design and delivery of high-quality solutions adhering to industry standards for architecture, security, privacy, and best practices.

  • Research and Development: Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • System Uptime: Ensure maximum uptime of all information systems, including SAP, desktop computers, business machines, cell/smartphones, and telephone systems.

  • Workload Management: Direct and prioritize subordinate personnel's workload and assist with prioritization as needed.

  • Service Level Agreements: Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements and monitoring system performance.

  • System Analysis and Implementation: Conduct and coordinate analysis, design, and implementation of new and expanded technology solutions.

  • Personnel Management: Conduct performance reviews, interviews, and make recommendations for hiring, consultants, and replacement personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in technology management, with a proven track record in customer relationship and staff management.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in team development, coaching, and servant leadership.

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to drive vision and purpose, with strong strategic thinking skills and executive presence.

  • Team Building: Proven ability in team building and problem-solving.

  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Technological Proficiency:

  • Proficient in financial reporting per GAAP principles.

  • Expertise in technical portfolio strategy and delivery management.

  • Knowledge in process optimization/strategic dependency.

  • Proficient with MS Suite, SAP, TMI, Six Sigma, ITIL, technical contract life cycle, and IT asset management.

  • Project Management: Proven experience in planning, organizing, implementing, and developing applications or infrastructure.

  • Operational Management: Experience managing the support of financial applications, systems, or infrastructure environments.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Impact-Driven: Measures personal success through impact on business results and client service.

  • Adaptability: Ability to function in multiple roles simultaneously and demonstrate key attributes for working at the next level of seniority.

  • Agile Leadership: Ability to build and lead a team environment with Agile delivery values.
