Overview

SGWS Digital Product Leaders work closely with their counterparts in design, data, engineering, and agile orchestration to maximize the value we create for users and the enterprise. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Digital Product Leaders will focus on the development of products built to serve the unique needs of Southern Glazers executive and commercial leaders and planners. This is an individual contributor and leadership role, which involves collaborating with teams across the enterprise. Digital Product Leaders play a crucial role in driving the organization's digital product excellence, requiring a profound grasp of digital technologies, agile methodologies, strong team management, and a forward-thinking strategic vision. This role reports to a Digital Portfolio Lead who is responsible for alignment across product teams within the portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for a completely new and proprietary digital platform, built to radically accelerate and optimize the sales and commercial planning process.

  • Work extremely closely with the product team as their peer and co-leader, along with fellow leaders from design, data, engineering, and agile orchestration.

  • Drive a culture of self-reliance, achievement, and pride in work product throughout the product team.

  • Drive the highest possible adoption of digital capabilities through prioritizing and managing the development of product features and functionalities based on business value, user feedback, and internal needs.

  • Oversee user problem identification and opportunity discovery, solution concepting and user validation, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing.

  • Run pilots, proving business value and viability, creating buy-in to invest in the products.

  • Conduct and oversee regular user testing sessions to gather feedback and insights.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that digital product builds are perfectly aligned with the design blueprint and meet all stated objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with fellow Product Leaders and Digital Leaders to align on product vision, user needs, and design implementations.

  • Work in tandem with internal teams to ensure overarching digital strategies are complemented by effective user experiences.

  • Focus on outcome and seamless user experiences over any specific technology; Driving tech-agnostic solutions

  • Manage and optimize product success and achievements via Agile ways of working and rigorous prioritization

  • Navigate the organization to remove obstacles for the product teams

  • Partner with development teams to ensure design fidelity and function from concept to completion.

  • Continually practice a shift in mindset from “requirements” to continuous improvement of the problem’s solution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years in digital product management, focused on end-user applications and products, with demonstrated ability to lead a top-performing digital product team, to interface with senior leadership, and to ensure alignment with the organization's digital transformation goals.

  • Candidates must have experience in creating products and features from scratch, as well as scaling products from infancy to significant adoption. Experience with internal facing and/or business planning applications a plus.

  • Profound knowledge of digital product development methodologies, tools, and technologies.

  • Familiarity with software development and IT infrastructure.

  • Experience with user experience (UX) and user interface design principles.

  • Ability to transform user feedback into strategic design direction.

  • Skilled in assessing and iterating digital products based on user feedback and testing.

  • Strong analytical thinking with an emphasis on user experience.

  • Experience working in a federated model with product teams use of digital and data platforms across proprietary data, software, and commercially off the shelf software as part of the enterprise architecture standards.
