LoopieLu Sweets is seeking a passionate and reliable Part-Time Baker Assistant to join our team. As a Baker Assistant, you will work closely with our head baker to assist in various aspects of the baking process, ensuring the production of top-notch baked goods.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and production of bakery items, including cheesecakes, pastries, and other desserts
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under the guidance of the head baker/kitchen manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking ingredients and supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Provide back-up customer service to bakery visitors at counters and events.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or bakery setting is preferred but not required
- Passion for baking and a willingness to learn from experienced bakers
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes carefully
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transaction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effective
- Excellent communication and customer service skill
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulation
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
