Precision Strip Purchasing Manager in Minster, Ohio
As a Purchasing Manager, you will support all our 15 locations and customers by identifying how to best meet their needs by leading a team which focuses on quality and cost saving initiatives. This position will be based out of our Minster, OH location.
Every day as Purchasing Manager you will...
Sets goals and objectives for the Purchasing department
Analyze performance data to evaluate suppliers
Review proposals and negotiate contracts
Resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
Monitor changes affecting supply and demand
Develop, mentor, and train associates in the purchasing area
Support others to accomplish goals
Collaborate internally and across PSI to continuously improve and raise the bar
To thrive in this role, you must...
A Bachelors degree in supply chain and operations management or related business field is preferred
Have 5 plus years of proven experience in purchasing leadership role and able to c onfidently lead and motivate your team to win every day
Challenge the status quo on processes to ensure continuous process improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong relationship building skills
Certifications of CPSM or CPM is preferred
Willing to travel 25% of time to other locations on regular basis
