The Developer will be a part of a highly functional team responsible for integration multiple complex data sources into Hadoop.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy processes to load data (sets and sources) into Hadoop using Informatica BDM and other tools

  • Write code to extract and transform data

  • Troubleshoot production issues with Hadoop

  • Performance tuning and optimization of processes in Hadoop environment

  • Work on Proof of Concepts for Hadoop related vendor tools and processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • 2+ years of hands on experience programming on Hadoop

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - system development projects

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica, especially big data modules

  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies

  • Previous experience with Relational Databases (RDBMS) & Non- Relational Database

  • Previous experience in implementation of ETL applications, Data warehousing principles, architecture and its implementation in large environments

  • Analytical and problem solving experience applied to a Big Data environment

  • Understanding and related experience with Hadoop database tools (Spark, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase and/or Map/Reduce)

  • Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Unix)

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica, especially big data modules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Informatica Big Data Quality experience

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technology

  • Must be disciplined in documentation strategies and creating documentation

  • Skilled in MS Suite Products - Visio, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Negotiation and Influencing Skills

  • Willingness to work with a virtual team

  • Highly organized
