City Of Minneapolis-Human Resources Technology Systems and Data Analysis Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Position Description This position is restricted to current City of Minneapolis employees only Coordinate technology systems (e.g. Enterprise Land Management System (ELMS, ProjectDox) within the assigned department, serving as the department's point person on core technology applications, and liaison with IT and other impacted departments and also be responsible for performing data discovery, data analysis, reporting and data visualization of departmental functions that will support department decision making and evaluation Job Duties and Responsibilities Represent the assigned department at ELMS and ProjectDox-related inter-department meetings, providing department perspective, recommendations and committing staff resources where appropriate. Lead department business user group, or ELMS and ProjectDox Core Team meetings. Serve as liaison with ELMS and ProjectDox IT team Coordinate inter-department ELMS and ProjectDox-related initiatives (e.g. common workflows and SOPs) Represent department at ELMS and ProjectDox-related meetings on department-specific work, providing business requirements, department perspective, recommendations and committing staff resources where appropriate Provide regular status updates to department ELMS and ProjectDox users on break/fixes, enhancements, operational updates and training opportunities Give status updates to department leadership and recommendations on issues that need to rise to project leadership Provide support to department project leadership, as needed Serve as primary department ELMS and ProjectDox contact for support services Work with ELMS Core and ProjectDox team to identify user problems/complaints and data issues in order to recommend needed system changes, SOPs and/or training Coordinate monitoring of ELMS and ProjectDox system functionality, stability and data quality Identify and communicate up problems; follow up on resolution and communicate resolution/findings to end users Coordinate department ELMS and ProjectDox testing, SOPs and training, ensuring the activities are informed by one another and utilize the experience of end users Coordinate department ELMS and ProjectDox design, evaluation, review, analysis and/or testing/validation of system applications and enhancements Provide guidance to ensure training for new users and refresh training for current users is designed, planned, scheduled and facilitated Work with divisions to identify and coordinate SOP updates and additions Provide change management recommendations to department leadership on SOPs Develop department-level change management plans for technology. Maintain "superuser" technology permissions in order to correct data entry errors, configurations errors or fixes and enter data fixes and other higher level data entry needs. Ensure integrity of system data through system audits. Coordinate the process of defining the requirements for analysis for assigned projects. Provide strategic, analytical and technical support for departmental analytic activities Investigate and provide answers to complex data questions Help identify data trends and anomalies and inform appropriate department staff Attaching a resume and cover letter is required. Required Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Technology, Organizational Development, or a related field or Equivalent MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Three years of relevant diverse and progressively responsible experience, including business analytics, change management, project management, and/or field work relevant to the duties listed above LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS None required. Selection Process The selection process will consist of one or more of the following steps: a rating of relevant education and experience and an oral examination (100%). It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. This information will be used to determine which candidates will proceed in the selection process. Only those candidates who attain a passing score (70%) on each step in the selection process will be placed on the eligible list. This list will be certified to the hiring manager who may use the list to fill a vacancy of the same job title. This eligible list will expire 3 months after it has been established.
