We are looking for a Technical Service Representative to join our Automotive Refinish team in Minneapolis, MN

BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions offers high-quality refinish paint brands and paint-related products to body shops from around the world. Our team is searching for a Technical Service Representative to work with some of the largest Body Shop organizations in the market, through paint application process development, correct application of products through teaching & hands on demonstrations and helping the sales team convert new business. You will work closely with the sales team to make sure our customers are properly trained and supported and can effectively utilize our product offerings. In addition, you will work with the Business Development and Sales team to ensure identified Body Shop KPI’s are achieved. The geographical area for this role encompasses the state of Minnesota, specifically focusing on the Minneapolis / St. Paul and surrounding markets.

As a Technical Service Representative - Minneapolis, MN, you create chemistry by...

  • Being responsible for the technical success and ongoing support of BASF’s automotive refinish business and products, within the Minnesota market.

  • Making process improvement recommendations that can be highly valuable to our customers.

  • Training and developing our Body Shop and Distribution customers.

  • Helping our customers be more proficient in product application, selling and implementing new products, and generating a positive experience with BASF-branded products.

  • Adding value to our customers through root cause analysis, trouble-shooting technical applications, and color match issues.

  • Participating in the technical aspect of the sales process.

If you...

  • Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (recommended) or High School Diploma (GED)

  • Have at least 5 years of experience training or working hands on with Automotive Coatings materials within the automotive market

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office tools; CRM expertise is a plus

  • Are able to communicate effectively and know how to collaborate for achievement
