Insight Global Sr. Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Description
An employer is looking for a Sr. Project Manager for one of our top utility clients in the Nation. The Sr. PM is responsible for leading RFP efforts for a new Work Manager software replacement. After the vendor has been chosen, the PM will be responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors and vendors, and mitigating issues and risks. You will need to be comfortable managing multiple business stakeholders across many business units and building trust and strong relationships amongst all. The Sr. PM is responsible for driving work and the System Integrator (SI) to defined schedule, communicating crisply and clearly to both the project team and the project stakeholders, forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and explaining variances. Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones, accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates. Manages, prepares, and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. Create and manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting and actuals tracking. Identifies risks, issues, and provides effective mitigation. Monitors project activities and resolves/escalates issues as needed. Skills and Requirements
-Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with management of a $10M project budget or greater.
Background with leading RFPs for large and complex software implementations and deployments
Strong understanding of SAP and the SAP landscape and supporting SAP End Users
Experience implementing customer and/or employee digital solutions and processes
Proven experience managing requirements specification, design activities, prototype development, testing and final deployment.
Proven vendor management experience including leading RFPs, SOW creation, financial control, and aggressively driving both internal partners and vendor to meet date and budget commitments.
Experience managing multiple business units and stakeholders at all levels within an organization - Experience with SAP Work Manager or a similar tool null
