UMPhysicians Specialty Scheduling Coordinator - Endoscopy (Patient Access Center) - Full Time in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The SchedulingCoordinator (Endoscopy) performs a wide variety of high-level administrative functions to support the needs of the clinic healthcare team and provide an exceptional provider and patient experience. Scheduling Coordinator (Specialty) Overview Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides exceptional service to internal and external customers. Conducts telephone interviews, collects data, assesses and prioritizes/directs calls to the most appropriate health program within clinic. Proactively contacts patients and schedules appointments with appropriate members of care team. Coordinates the intake forms and waiting lists to ensure maximum clinic utilization. Processes and documents incoming calls of inquiry, assesses urgency and directs as needed. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation for each patient. Obtains internal and external patient records. Manages and maintains intake database. Actively seeks out opportunities to improve process/workflow efficiencies. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Customer service experience (medical intake specialist or coordinator experience preferred). Knowledge of medical terminology. Broad knowledge of specialty area(s) being supported. Location: The position will be working remote at this time. (MN residents only.)
