CLA is looking to hire a SDET to join our growing Enterprise IT team. About the role: The Role of Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is to work alongside our product owners, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to create and maintain test automation frameworks, develop test scripts, and execute tests to ensure that software products meet the required quality standards. As an SDET, you will assist the Quality Assurance team in the development and adherence to quality standards and software development best practices such as Agile development practices, Release Management and Test Automation. As a SDET, you will: * Build scalable and re-usable test automation frameworks for testing backend services, end-to-end integration workflows, and chaos engineering. * Incorporate Continuous Testing into CI/CD pipelines. * Own execution of test automation: functional, smoke, regression, end-to-end integration. * Fully understand the entire stack, business logic, and system architecture. Participate in system architecture reviews, provide suggestions and improvement recommendations. * Work alongside developers as well as business stakeholders and strive to understand the big picture. * You don't have to know all the answers, but when faced with tough technical challenges, research and find solutions. What you will need: * 5+ years of experience in related field * Demonstratable knowledge of one or more programming languages (preferably Python). * Solid understanding of design patterns and data structures. * Proficiency with cloud technologies: CI/CD, Docker, event-driven architecture, messaging protocols (preferably on MS Azure). * Strong communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional and international partners. * Equipped with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership * Bachelor's degree or combination of experience, education and training may be accepted in lieu of degree Technical Competencies: * Practical knowledge of Kubernetes clusters * Experience with performance testing and popular tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, etc.) * Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, DataDog, ELK stack) Our Perks: Flexible PTO (designed to offer flexible time away for you!)
