Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Technical Product Owners in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting complex and thorough research of existing technical processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/intent of the assigned products.

  • Work with Product Manager and SMEs to prioritize feature development based on the business value.

  • Elicit and create initial epics/features and elaborate into user stories that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, and mockups/demos.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams inside a Scrum framework.

  • Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies.

  • Perform testing, track bugs, enhancements and ensure issues are resolved before promoting to production environments. Use data and analysis to convey solution impact and support process driven solutions.

  • Develop business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools.

  • Construct problem statements including problem description and improvement measures.

  • Drill down beyond the problem surface to understand root cause, logically structure recommendations, and support data to formulate a solid, logical, and understandable business case.

  • Contribute to technical project planning and effort estimation within scope and support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches.

  • Interface with business unit leaders to develop and maintain internal customer relationships.

  • Less than 10% domestic travel.

  • Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days a week

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience in software development or related.

  • Using Agile Scrum Methodology;

  • Creating epics/features and elaborating into user stories;

  • Airline crew applications including crew scheduling and flight administration;

  • Performing manual testing and user acceptance testing;

  • Using data and analysis to convey solution impact and support process driven solutions.
