About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Securities Operations Representative in the Mutual Fund Trading Department.

This position supports critical functions within the Mutual Fund Trading Fund Maintenance Team which establishes new Mutual Fund Securities and performs the maintenance on securities. This team is responsible for all parameters around Mutual Fund securities, these parameters control trading and the ability to transfer securities into Wells Fargo.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform various operational tasks on complex securities that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems

  • Provide ideas for improving or implementing processes

  • Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires and reconciling transactions

  • Review time sensitive documents

  • Provide training or work direction to less experienced staff

  • Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department

  • Lead or participate in projects

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Interact with internal customers (other internal departments, Financial Advisors and Client Associates)

  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Communications between MF companies and internal/external contacts (BONY platform, Security Master, MF products, Financial Advisors and Client Associates)

  • Using BETA to make updates regarding mutual fund availability

  • Work incoming Corporate Actions from fund companies

  • Acts as subject matter experts for projects and work processes

  • Will handle escalated tasks, complex transactions, and performs research on cases that need further follow-up

  • Performs quality control of employees work

  • Will make updates and changes to policies and procedures as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including basic knowledge of formulas

  • Basic Microsoft Access skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Beta

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience with handling escalated issues

  • Prior knowledge of mutual funds

  • Leadership experience including coaching, training, or mentoring

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

  • Able to work flexible hours
