Job Description

The Procurement Relationship Manager will grow Procurements involvement with the business by building relationships with key stakeholders. They will prospect new opportunities and grow existing engagements by providing professional guidance, benchmarking, and competitive exercises. They will support and enhance supplier performance, management and third-party risk. They are responsible for leading and coordinating Procurement, Contract Analysts and Business Line representatives for the enterprise. They will use a combination of outstanding cross-functional thinking, business judgment, and strategic thinking to innovate on behalf of customers. They are responsible for both software and services contracts within a specific business or across the enterprise. The ideal candidate would have done a few software deals for Saas or APIs. Contracted for market data, professional services, and/or staff augmentation with global delivery as a plus. Banking/Finance background is helpful but not required. They will assist stakeholders with vendor strategies and planning. They will utilize best in class Procurement processes and leverage contract opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight to ten years of experience in procurement contract activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and contract negotiation and administration

  • Knowledge of Procurement leading practices

-Familiarity with contract terms and proficiency in contract review

-Effective communication and influencing skills

  • Strong relationship management and business development abilities

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, organizational skills, outstanding customer service, judgment in handling confidential information.

  • Strong sales and collaborative team building skills

  • Well-developed financial and market analysis skills and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed management and leadership skills

  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and operations

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all levels across the company

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
