Relocation assistance is not elgible for this recruitment. #PDN #LI-Hybrid WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER The Senior Operations Analyst brings a breath of experience and is responsible for day-to-day execution of foundational workflows required to ensure the operational success of a $4 billion-plus endowment. This role is based in Arlington, VA. The Office of Investments ("OOI") uses a hybrid work model of two to three days in the office per week. The Senior Operations Analyst provides day-to-day execution of foundational workflows required to ensure the operational success of the OOI. Example workflows might support: new/additional investments, portfolio reconciliation, data collection, reporting; or similar processes which will improve operations of the OOI. The Senior Operations Analyst will report to the Office of Investments' (OOI) Director of Risk, Portfolio Strategy, and Operations. This candidate should exhibit exceptional organizational skills, operate with a deep level of attention to detail, and value the power of collaboration. The role requires flexibility, quick independent decision-making, and the ability to work on multiple cross-functional deliverables. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in project management and present a track record of accomplishment in their prior endeavours. The Office of Investments' mission is to support the funding of The Nature Conservancy's (TNC) global conservation priorities by increasing the organization's purchasing power through prudent and sustainable investment management. The OOI, under the leadership of TNC's Chief Investment Officer (CIO), works on all aspects of the management and monitoring of the endowment and other long-term pools of capital in excess of $4B. You will be part of a collegial 15-person team and gain valuable experience in endowment management. The Operations team is composed of Risk, Portfolio Strategy, and Operations functions. The team's ethos is to support TNC's mission and goals by clearly and dependably executing critical multi-faceted recurring workflows and bespoke projects required to operate a multi-billion-dollar endowment. The Operations team is a dynamic group dedicated to furthering TNC's mission through operational excellence, extreme efficiency, and collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE Efficiently execute key operational processes including onboarding new investment managers, making additional subscriptions and redemptions. Take responsibility for investment portfolio reconciliation and reporting (performance, analytics, liquidity). Record cash flow transactions pertaining to external investment managers vital to OOI analysis and investment decisions. Facilitate seamless coordination between diverse stakeholders such as the custodian bank, investment managers, fund administrators, and other internal TNC departments (Sustainable Debt, Accounting, Tax, Audit). Ensure timeliness and accuracy of data and documents within Backstop (Portfolio Management System). Partner with OOI team members on ad hoc projects and related tasks to drive understanding of risk and overall portfolio strategy. The ideal candidate will have all or some of the following qualifications. Experience with APIs, Python or other tools to improve efficiency across an organization. Progress towards a CPA, CFA, or CAIA, PMP, or other relevant professional designations Track record of successfully prioritizing tasks in the absence of specific instructions while also exercising outstanding independent judgment to identify and solve problems. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination. Experience with taking initiative, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines. Experience working as part of a team, using varied techniques to collaborate and foster effective relationships with different stakeholders. Experience in analyzing, manipulating, and interpreting data, and developing, reporting, and implementing solutions. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with taking initiative to identify and enact improvements to recurring processes.
