The Opportunity

As a member of our Sr. Staff team, you will be responsible for running most aspects of client cost optimization or process optimization projects, including project management, client and supplier communications, supplier negotiations, and delivery of results. Managers and Sr. Managers actively lead and mentor our associate and analyst team members. Leveraging Accenture's vast resources and mentorship programs, you'll gain unparalleled experience and be positioned for career growth.

Specific job responsibilities and activities, based on experience, could include the following:

  • Develop overall project plans and lead all or parts of client engagements

  • Manage project support resources and coordinate with subject matter experts across the vast network of Accenture

  • Develop creative strategies and recommendations to deliver tangible results for our clients

  • Present findings and recommendations to client executives with confidence and clarity

  • Build consensus among diverse client stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor

  • Potentially lead new product/service development and launch efforts within Accenture Strategy Procurement Consulting

  • Support in developing internal strategies, intellectual capital, and thought leadership for the practice

Typical projects include:

  • Strategic sourcing (both within companies and across private equity portfolios)

  • Process reengineering

  • Spend analysis and savings opportunity assessment

  • Pre-purchase due diligence

  • Make vs. buy decision analysis

  • Benchmarking and best practices implementation

Position Requirements

  • At least 6 years of Management Consulting and Procurement / Strategic Sourcing experience with a well-regarded firm

  • Strategic sourcing consulting experience with 20+ category projects

  • Management of project team resources and budget

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to manage resources performing complex analytics to develop client decision support data

  • Support company sales efforts with new and expansion projects

  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks and/or initiatives simultaneously

  • Demonstrated project management and management consulting

  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity

  • An interest and passion for supporting the development of junior team members

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives

  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment

  • Undergrad degree from a highly competitive institution; MBA a plus, but not required

  • Atlanta, GA preferred location, but will consider remote U.S. locations for the right candidate

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.
