Rise Baking Company Senior Manager of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS will oversee the strategy, design, and implementation of our total rewards and HRIS programs. This role will manage a dedicated team, ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic vision and hands-on execution, with deep expertise in multi-state operations, mergers & acquisitions, and people management.
Essential Functions
Compensation:
Design, implement, and evaluate competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and job evaluation systems
Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry benchmarks
Partner with leadership to provide data-driven recommendations for compensation strategies
Benefits:
Lead the strategy and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefits
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction with benefits offerings
HRIS:
Manage the HRIS platform (currently ADP Workforce Now), ensuring data integrity, system optimization, and user adoption
Oversee system upgrades, vendor relationships, and training for HRIS users
Leverage HRIS data to provide insights and reports that drive business decisions
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Lead the integration of compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems and practices during M&A activities
Conduct due diligence and recommend solutions for seamless transitions
Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a team of professionals in compensation, benefits, and HRIS
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Professional certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and HRIS
Proven experience managing a team
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms preferred
Demonstrated expertise in multi-state operations and M&A integrations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
In-depth knowledge of applicable labor laws, compliance requirements, and best practices in total rewards

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $109,813.92 to $157,857.51 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
