Ameriprise Financial Senior Instructional Designer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description Job Description We are looking for a learning experience designer to join us in creating world-class learning solutions for our Service and Operations organization. The solutions you create will engage our learners while enabling improved employee experience, shorten lead times to proficiency, and provide performance support at the point of need. This is an opportunity to work with an award-winning Learning and Development team, in one of the nation's leading financial services organizations. If you are not located close to a physical office, remote work is considered for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Overview: * Provide thought leadership as well as tactical execution for multiple learning priorities. * Apply cutting-edge instructional design techniques that leverage adult learning best practices to create learning solutions that can be delivered via a variety of modalities. * Partner with training peers and business partners to analyze goals and objectives of learning priorities and create design recommendations and strategies for training deliverables. * Manage end to end creation of training including design/development of content, assisting with business partner reviews, evaluation, and measurement. * Work with subject matter experts to design, storyboard and develop instructor-led, e-learning, video, blended, and other content. * Assess and maintain quality of training content throughout the process based on established set of standards. Being successful on this team requires the ability to: * Innovate and iterate - our business and learners needs are constantly evolving, and so must our award-winning learning solutions Required Qualifications * Skilled in the application of web-based authoring software (Articulate Storyline, RISE, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, HTML) to courses * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * 5+ years relevant experience * Excellent writing, editing, critical reasoning, interpersonal, and communication skills. * Proven 5+ years business experience and success designing and developing training content, or Degree in instructional design, multimedia design, learning technology, education, or a related field. * Knowledge of financial services and products and/or experience with call center operations is helpful Preferred Qualifications * Self-starter, comfortable with contributing and taking a proactive approach while on a project. * Experience in working with external content developers/designers.
