Typical Day in the Life Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data. Reviewing and verifying general ledger transactions to guarantee proper classification and coding. Creating and posting journal entries, including recurring entries, intercompany entries, or adjusting entries with appropriate supporting documentation. Completing month-end and year-end closing processes within established timeframes. Performing general ledger reconciliations and bank account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies. Preparing financial statements and other supplemental financial reporting on a monthly or as-needed basis. Performing financial statement analysis and provides relevant explanations for variances. Participates in the annual budget process for the Firm: prepares schedules, updates data for individual reporting units, summarizes results. Coordinating certificate of insurance requests Reviewing contracts to ensure insurance requirements are within our policy limits. Tracking and accurately accounting for leases according to ASC 842. Compiling necessary information for regulatory or other external audits. Collecting financial information for benchmarking surveys or other business needs. Supporting individual office operations by providing analysis and backing of financial data as needed. Highlighting the impact of processes on financial reporting for the knowledge of other departments. Completing other duties as assigned to support the Finance Department. Creating and maintaining documentation of procedures and recommends changes for greater efficiencies. Ensuring timely and accurate performance on assigned projects. Maintaining compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines. Who You Are You have an Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA license preferred. You have 5+ years of accounting experience required. You have well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles. You can compile and analyze complex data. You have strong written and verbal communication skills. You have the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects. You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients. You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and various software packages. This position could be fully remote anywhere in the US. Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship. Benefits and Compensation Our compensati n philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity. Salary Range: $63,000-$83,000 Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
