Mortenson Construction Senior Estimator in Minneapolis, Minnesota
M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Senior Estimator located in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading estimating efforts of gathering, calculating, and compiling data to produce project estimates for large construction projects. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or related field and three years of experience developing construction project estimates. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or related field and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience developing construction project estimates. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) reading project plans and models and researching historical data to prepare estimates; (2) developing conceptual estimates and detailed itemized estimates for industrial, commercial, and public construction projects; (3) performing quantity takeoffs (QTOs) and assisting in determination of schedule impact and schedule updating; (4) working on and developing construction project estimates with multimillion dollar budgets; and (5) utilizing the following tools/technologies: On-Screen Takeoff, Winest (estimating software), BuildingConnected, Assemble, VICO office, and Eos Cortex.
