Jostens Senior Developer - ERP in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Sr. Developer - ERP

ABOUT YOU:

As a Senior ERP Developer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financial applications. You will lead development efforts, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with business stake holders to deliver high-quality solutions.

YOU HAVE:

  • Technical skills. Proficient developing in RPGLE, CLLE. Understanding of Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financial processes and technologies. Strong understanding of iSeries platform and tools.

  • Problem solving skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.

  • Project management. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

  • Great communication skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Passion. Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team.

  • Experience. 5+ years of development experience supporting Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financial applications with a proven track record of delivering enhancements and customizations. Experience designing relational databases and writing SQL. Proven experience debugging, customizing, performance tuning, and integrating with Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financial applications. Friedman ERP experience preferred.

  • Education. BA/BS degree with an analytical discipline or 5+ years of experience directly related to professional software development.

    YOU WILL:

  • Lead and participate in the design, development, and deployment of Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financial system enhancements, customizations, and integrations.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of software to ensure accuracy, reliability, scalability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Monitor and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Document technical designs, customizations, system configurations and integrations.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers on the team, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.

    Our Technology organization combines planning, analysis, and development in combination with both enterprise retail and manufacturing platforms as well as custom development using primarily Java, web services, and web application frameworks like ReactJS/NodeJS. The Technology organization manages priorities through a centralized quarterly planning in close collaborative with business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Delivery is managed through typically an agile, two-week scrum or Kanban methodology leveraging a suite of Atlassian products. The Technology teams are structured organizationally to focus on key platforms and the business units that they. Though the utilization of best-in-class technical software, such as AWS, Tableau, SAP BPC, Oracle EBS, Salesforce, & Microsoft 360, you will get to play a critical role in determining technology solutions that steer our business.
