We are seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support our SQL Server database systems in test and production environments, both on-premise and in the cloud. Other responsibilities include ensuring backups are performed properly, monitoring performance and key system resources, and establishing and enforcing database policies. Your Role: As a Senior Database Administrator within our Information Technology Department, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designing, configuring, and supporting database servers Monitoring and troubleshooting to effectively diagnose database problems Documenting all programs & systems, including system changes and maintenance plans Planning for future SQL database needs Working with the applications team on the installation and testing of prospective applications and making recommendations for implementation. What We're Looking For: Energetic, detail-oriented individuals who are able to manage multiple priorities and understand the cycle of a transaction. Proactive self-starters with demonstrated experience maintaining high quality work products in a fast-paced environment and within time constraints. Strong writing and proofreading skills, oral communication skills, research, organizational and interpersonal skills. A proven track record in preparing project schedules and monitoring deadlines and deliverables from various project parties. The ability to work beyond the standard scheduled hours, as needed. Required Experience: Four-year college degree or a combination of education and related experience and 7+ years of relevant experience as a database administrator. Previous experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred. Certification in MS SQL preferred. Time worked in excess of 40 hours per week will be paid at time and one-half of the hourly rate. The salary range for this position is from $90,000 - $110,000 depending upon experience and location.
