Job Description: Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Real Estate Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Minneapolis! This position's primary responsibilities will include team management with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring, and quality control review. Some things you can expect to do: Have a knowledge and understanding of lease documents and legal documents for respective team's portfolio. Assist and review annual budgets, reforecasts, and operating expense reconciliations/estimates. Work with Property Acquisitions and dispositions within your respective team and working through the transitions. Oversee requirements for staff portfolios and ensures consistent, accurate, and timely reporting. Review and approval of financial reports and supporting schedules, such as: journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, cash flow projections, tax file prep and financial/internal/tenant audits, equity schedules and GAAP to Tax basis reconciliations, advanced depreciation/amortization schedules (including fixed/intangible asset tracking). Proactively communicate with Real Estate Management Teams, Capital Markets and Asset Management/ Ownership Representatives. Research open accounting issues and recognize potential issues and/or conflicts so corrective action can intercept and minimize issues. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the formal supervision of individual employees, recommend staff recruitment/selection/promotion/advancement/corrective action, plan and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, prepare and deliver performance appraisals for staff, mentor and coach team members to further develop competencies. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related field of study 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting You will really stand out if you have: Advanced knowledge of Yardi, MRI, and JDE E1 software Experience in MS Office (emphasis on Excel) Experience with leading process improvement initiatives Supervisory experience or mentorship equivalent Eligibility: Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation: The annual base pay is $84,900 - $106,150. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
