Overview: The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the Medicaid enrollment and credentialing verification process for providers in participating health insurance plans. Duties and Responsibilities: Collect and maintain providers' credentials and supporting documentation for the purpose of enrolling individual providers with payers multistate. Monitor and follow up on the status of applications for providers and track progression on all pending and completed applications. Participate in the physician onboarding process supporting credentialing and Medicaid enrollment application process. Research and resolve provider related enrollment issues and coordinate with colleagues when necessary. Maintain provider files for revalidation of Medicaid enrollments. Ensure the timeliness of provider enrollments. Maintain accurate and complete information in the State Medicaid Portals and the Provider Enrollment Databases. Ability to understand, analyze and interpret complex documents Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement. Always adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position. Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such. Job Requirements: Minimum of two years of relevant payer enrolling/credentialing experience OR two years of physician billing experience required. CAQH knowledge Must be highly organized, results oriented and thrive on problem solving and working independently. Solid critical thinking and analytical skills. End-user computer skills with Microsoft Office package. Excellent multi-tasking skills. Excellent communication skills and be able to interact with professional and administrative personnel. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints while maintaining a professional demeanor; and Must be able to remain calm and use diplomacy when dealing with stressful situations. Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; and Associate degree preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force. Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
