Responsibilities * Performs overall engineering design and engineering tasks having a high degree of complexity. * Prepare design documents for structural systems, including calculations, drawings and structural specifications. * Review preliminary and final plans and specifications for constructability and risk management * Supervise the work of other Structural Engineers, Structural EITs and Technicians assigned to applicable projects; serve as a mentor for less experienced/developing Structural Engineers and Technicians * Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office and/or other corporate location; serve as a liaison between clients and design team * Evaluate structural assets against potential threat levels and conceptualize initial structural design approach for projects. Perform design calculations for blast and ballistic protection based on Charge Weights and Level of Protection. Experience with Federal (including but not limited to Department of Defense, VA, GSA) projects is greatly desired. * Experience with Progressive Collapse Analysis is greatly desired. * Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing work for Structural project teams * Ability to successfully complete projects on time and on budget * Assist with other duties assigned by Project Managers and Structural Engineering Studio Lead * Act as a mentor for discipline personnel by providing continuous assistance and support through professional training and career development * Establish design standards and procedures to manage the work of staff as well as the project teams by assisting in the review of quality assurance and quality control evaluations * Provide oversight and assistance with writing and editing of program documents, specifications and equipment selection for building systems and devices * Conduct and/or delegate job-site observations to ensure projects are adhering to specifications and design intent * Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance in rel tion to zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes and other ordinances; convey applicable changes of local, state, and federal regulations and ordinances to discipline appropriate personnel * Perform other duties as assigned or instructed Apply Here: https://www.click2apply.net/5G7LG6tYAxXy2IG7ASga8N PI256489556
