Metropolitan Airports Commission Parts Room Technician in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking to hire a Parts Room Technician. This position is responsible for preparing purchase orders and processing parts and supply requisitions for the Maintenance Shop. Other duties include ordering parts and materials, processing invoices and packing slips and providing information on status of orders. Parts Room Technicians forecast needs for future orders and maintain a perpetual inventory system of materials in stock and conduct physical inventory and reconcile discrepancies in the inventories. Position Details Shifts Days/First Shift: Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Nights/Third Shift: Sunday - Thursday: 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. The current opening will be assigned to the night shift. Shift assignments are bid twice each calendar year, based on seniority. Note that new employees typically start on the day shift for the training period. Starting Salary $34.382/Hour Shift Differentials/Wage Adjustments +$0.35 for Class A CDL -OR- Forklift certification +$2.00/hour for Third Shift Overtime typically occurs during snow and emergency events. Employees working overtime may be asked to work off-shift for extended periods of time which could include weekends and holidays.
