Please apply online using a laptop or desktop computer.POSITION SUMMARY:This position is accountable for leading and executing fundraising and volunteer leadership development for NMDP Foundation in two identified markets. This position is also responsible for soliciting gifts between $2,500 to $10,000. This includes building philanthropic support and volunteer leadership for a signature fundraising event in market as well as other philanthropic strategies including raising funds in partnership with individual supporters, corporate partners, organizations, and foundations. This role will also engage and guide 3rd party events and peer to peer fundraising efforts in the markets, as well as support mid-level giving strategies. This role will work in collaboration with the NMDP and business partners to build support for philanthropic strategies.This position will be integral to NMDP Foundation's ability to complete our 100M Comprehensive Campaign and achieving our 5-year vision of tripling philanthropy to over 40M annually. This position will be a member of The NMDP Foundation Advancement team and work closely with NMDP colleagues in the Foundation and across the organization. This is a remote position in Houston, Texas. #LI-RemoteCheck out our video Saving Lives: It's the Best Job EverACCOUNTABILITIES:Leadership of Two Identified Markets:Develop and execute the strategy for fundraising within identified markets, including support for the signature fundraising event, third party events and other relevant fundraising strategies in the markets.Solicit gifts between $2,500 to $10,000Work with NMDP Foundation team and business partners to identify and engage individuals, corporate partners, foundations, and organizations in support of NMDP mission.Align market-based efforts with individual major gift strategy and corporate partnership strategy.Manage forecast and pipeline for market-based fundraiseVolunteer Leadership Development:In partnership with NMDP colleagues build and grow a Board of Ambassadors in identified markets.Ensure fundraising efforts are executed with a volunteer lead / staff partner relationship.Engage volunteer leaders to mobilize their networks in support of NMDP.Fulfill best practices for Board of Ambassadors, identification, cultivation, communication, and stewardship.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Demonstration and understanding of non- profit fundraising strategies.Volunteer leadership development and staff / volunteer partnership.Stewardship practices.Relationship Management.Raiser's Edge.Ability to:Achieve revenue goals.Cultivate and steward benefactor and leadership volunteer relationships.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to meet agreed upon objectives.Ability to plan and execute program strategy to align with organizational strategy.Ability to manage budget and work with other departments to promote the program areas.Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills including Word, Excel, and Power Point.Flexible schedule to accommodate periodic evening and weekend hours.Up to monthly travel as necessary.Education and/or Experience:3 years development and fundraising experience which has included success in the following accountabilities: effectively managing relationships and soliciting gifts between $2,500 to $10,000, leadership volunteer development, event-based fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship practices.DEI COMMITMENT:As part of our values, we are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion at NMDP.
