Minneapolis College is seeking a permanent, full-time HR Management Analyst in the Management Analyst 2 job classification, for employment within the Division of Human Resources and Workforce Equity.

THIS IS A CONFIDENTIAL POSITION IN THE COMMISSIONER'S PLAN.

The Human Resource (HR) Analyst will evaluate the information flow and processes in Human Resources, and will conduct systems analysis to identify, develop and implement efficient department and college-wide work methods and procedures. This position will conduct workforce analysis, including retention, recruitment activity, and employee demographics. Interpret and apply analytics to support the development and refinement of HR initiatives and processes, configure, assess and adapt Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to support new processes that will improve workflows and enhance customer satisfaction.

The HR Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to support related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. This position serves as a technical contact for the Human Resources.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze HR processes and procedures to develop, recommend and install new or revised work methods, processes, and procedures for clearly defined problems in areas such as records management, work and information flow, systems analysis and design, and data processing

  • Work with other departments within the college to enhance and support technology initiatives, share innovative ideas, and increase Human Resources transparency, promoting an HR "business partner" environment.

  • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Higher education degree and/or combination of education and work experience in human resources, data analysis, statistics, or related areas.

  • Experience analyzing business processes and providing constructive recommendations for improvements.

  • Experience managing multiple projects including design, configuration and testing workflows within timelines.

  • Strong attention and ability to identify details and use analytical skills with the ability to see a project from beginning to end.

  • Strong computing skills in PC environment utilizing systems including but, not limited to the MS Office Suite; Visio, Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint, OneDrive.

  • Ability to use critical thinking skills and analyze complex information and issues sufficient to identify and recommend solutions.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with a team.

  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Workday.
