Maintenance Technician – Kemps Minneapolis
Starting Wage: $33.00/hour
Schedule: Overnight, 12 hour shift, rotating schedule
Kemps, LLC has openings for Maintenance Mechanics, responsible for the maintenance and repairs for all property and production assets within the plant. This position ensures the continued operation of machinery and equipment in an electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic capacity by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
1+ years field related experience preferred in a manufacturing facility including: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC
Maintenance AAS, or Program Certificate in lieu of education
Knowledge of various equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor, relay, and process control and packaging equipment
Working knowledge of all phases of electric power, 480-240-120 and the lower voltage control wiring
1st Class B Boiler License preferred and/or willingness to obtain with company help.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Must be able to handle basic hand tools
Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift; occasionally required to climb or balance
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to work in a production and cooler environment with moderate to high noise volume (hearing protection and uniform/cold weather provided)
May experience some exposure to fumes airborne particles, chemicals or allergens
On the Job Training provided, students in or newly graduated from programs encouraged to apply.
