Knutson Construction IT Internship - Summer 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As an IT intern, you will take on responsibilities similar to those of an IT Support Specialist, giving you a firsthand look at a career in information technology in the construction industry. A mentor will be assigned to guide and support you throughout the internship. Additionally, you will have the chance to engage in company events and community volunteer activities.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support, manage IT incidents and requests, and collaborate with senior teammates to ensure timely resolution and high-quality customer service.

  • Maintain and deploy hardware, workstations, and mobile devices; manage A/V equipment, user accounts, and IP telephony systems.

Support project site IT setup, maintain network assets, and create documentation while assisting with end-user training.

  • Promote Knutson Construction through community involvement and deliver The Knutson Experience.

  • Exhibit behaviors and actions that are aligned with Knutson's Zero Incident Safety Culture

  • Respond to and complete all other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.

  • Knowledge of and proficient in the use of personal computers and related Microsoft software.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong skills in time management, ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, working with multiple demands with strong attention to details.

  • Ability to travel to and within project sites.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
