It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs. Summary of the Job: Northland Capital Markets is currently seeking an Investment Banking Intern to join the team this December/January. This paid internship will be part-time during the school year, with the intention of transitioning the intern to a full-time position upon graduation this Spring. The person selected will work directly with the investment banking professionals to assist with equity and debt capital formation, mergers & acquisitions, financial advisory engagements, among other responsibilities. About This Role: Primary Job Responsibilities:* Conducting financial analysis and modeling to support investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements* Performing industry research and analyzing market trends* Preparing marketing materials, pitchbooks, and teasers* Conducting industry and company-specific research and due diligence* Participating in client meetings and calls* Collaborating with senior bankers and other team members on deal execution Required Qualifications:* Expecting to graduate during 2024 with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related subject* Proficient with Microsoft Office programs* Analytical, valuation, and modeling skills* Strong writing skills and research ability* Demonstrated interest in finance and the capital markets* Top academic performance* Ability to work in a collaborative, demanding, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment* Able to work around 20 hours per week The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with S&P Capital IQ & Pitchbook platforms * Previous finance related internship Physical Demands: The ideal candidate is able to commute to the office but also has the flexibility to work remotely when needed.
