Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are in the professional services industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, offering an exciting opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst. This role involves both technical support and training, providing a chance to employ and grow your skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

• Train fellow employees on software applications and systems, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.

• Write training manuals and documentation to support software applications and systems.

• Maintain daily performance of computer systems.

• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

• Follow up with customers to ensure their systems are functional.

• Respond to email messages from customers seeking help.

• Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem and walk the customer through problem-solving processes.

• Install computer peripherals for users. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Help Desk Analyst or similar role within the Professional Services industry is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, including MS Windows 10 and Windows 11.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory is essential.

• Must have experience with computer hardware, including Deskside Support and Desktop Hardware.

• Able to provide training to end-users on hardware and software use.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer service orientation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on severity.

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
