Jostens Finance Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

FINANCE MANAGER

ABOUT YOU:

Step into a dynamic role as Finance Manager, where you'll be the key finance partner to the leadership of the Emerging Markets Division! In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial success by implementing and overseeing controls to ensure accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and commission payments for schools and sales reps. You'll manage financial planning and analysis for four diverse business units: Photography, Small Book, Commercial Print, and International. If you're excited about owning the P&L and Balance Sheet reporting while making a tangible impact, this is the role for you!

YOU HAVE:

  • Technical skills. Advanced level skills with Excel and Access with database/ERP experience such as Oracle/EDW. Ability to understand complex business relationships and impacts.

  • Attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills in digging into data to uncover actionable insights.

  • Intellectual curiosity. Results-oriented strategic thinker, with the ability to challenge the status quo and implement change.

  • Great communication skills. Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with experience with presenting to management groups and senior level executives.

  • Experience. Minimum of 7+ years’ related professional experience

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance

  • Preferred. Advanced degree or CPA license/certificate with supervisory experience.

    YOU WILL:

  • Lead. Manage and develop two financial analysts, ensuring their growth and effectiveness in their roles. Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel.

  • Oversee. Manage financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for Emerging Markets financial statements in compliance with GAAP & SOX.

  • Provide. Financial Planning & Analysis for Emerging Markets, serving as a key business partner in interpreting metrics trends, providing reporting, and offering analysis on key initiatives.

  • Own. The management of all accounting, reporting, and commission payments to schools and sales reps.

  • Develop. Data modeling, validation, analysis, and visualization to support financial decision-making.

  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 0 - 5 %

    Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning, analysis and accounting with collaborative business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products and Professional Sports. Through the utilization of best-in-class technical software, such as Tableau, SAP BPC, Oracle, Salesforce, & the Microsoft Suite, you will get to play a critical role in determining financial solutions that steer our business.
