UMPhysicians Faculty Physician - Pediatric General Surgery (Assistant or Associate Professor in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Division of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking an individual for a full-time clinical Assistant or Associate Professor appointment on the Master Clinician or Academic track, based on individual qualifications. About the Appointment: Clinical activities expected of a Pediatric General Surgeon based primarily at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and the M Health Fairview East Region with additional sites located within the Twin Cities. The position will require supervising, mentoring and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Full participation in departmental activitiesincluding but not limited to grand rounds, CEU quality meetings, and faculty meetings. Faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty. Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States Demonstrated commitment to providing quality and compassionate patient care Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegiality with staff and partners Demonstrated commitment to teaching and research Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated record of basic, translational, or clinical research experience Additional Requirements: An application for the corresponding academic component of this position should be submitted through University of Minnesota employment site.
