All QA related duties, responsibilities, policies and procedures of MRO site representative responsibilities are administrated by this position. QA; ensuring the accomplishment of audits and monitoring of related follow-up actions of internal and external maintenance operations; participating in the selection and approval process of vendors for performing outside service work - aircraft, engines and components; responsible for establishing and modifying policies, procedures, instructions and information for the QA auditing process; other duties as assigned. Essential roles and responsibilities of a Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Develop and administer effective methods and standards of quality and airworthiness for company aircraft. Ensure through the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) that these methods and standards are consistently achieved. Lead on site Quality Assurance Representatives and manage associated Web Based Spot Check Program. Monitor the performance of Inspection activities for Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance Checks, including review of completed work packages. Establish and modify policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the Required Inspection Items (RII) process. Monitor the quality and effectiveness of the RII process and ensure the company Required inspection item (RII) program is in compliance with all 14 CFR 121 requirements and the Company general Maintenance manual. Establish and modify policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the Receiving Inspection process. Authorize Sun Country Airlines' RII and Receiving Inspection authorized designees, as required. Partners with Manager, Maintenance Support, Tooling personnel and Engineering to help maintain appropriate tooling and calibration standards/compliance. Assist with investigation and processing of operational issue reports such as Self Disclosures, Compliance Action Letters issued by the FAA and audit reports issued by the Maintenance Quality Assurance department. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with a l local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines. Supervisory responsibility: Management, direction and supervision of the Quality Control and Quality Assurance department activities. The qualifications we are looking for in the Director Quality Control and Quality Assurance: College degree and/or 5 years related quality assurance supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Must be eligible to hold FAR Part 119 DQC for the Sun Country Operating Certificate Mechanic Certification A&P License 3years required Held Maintenance Inspector role for at least 1 year required Have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining same category and class of aircraft Ability to read and interpret federal regulations Ability to read and interpret airline technical manuals Excellent organizational, mathematical and problem-solving skills Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external associates Travel required have a full understanding of the following materials with respect to the certificate holder's operation- (i) Aviation safety standards and safe operating practices; (ii) 14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations); (iii) The certificate holder's operations specifications; (iv) All appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements of this chapter (e.g., parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, and 121 of this chapter); and (v) The manual required by *121.133 of this chapter; Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test Preferred Skills: College degree and/or 5 years related quality control supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
