This position requires a thorough understanding of CF care, advanced data management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. The coordinator will ensure accurate data collection, maintain compliance with research protocols, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care. 30% Patient Consenting Process Identify and recruit eligible pediatric and adult CF patients for participation in CF database studies. Obtain informed consent by explaining consent and HIPAA forms thoroughly and addressing any patient questions. Manage submission of signed consent forms to HIPAA-compliant databases and create new patient profiles. Ensure re-consenting of pediatric patients upon turning 18 years old. Facilitate remote consent processes via phone or eConsent platforms like RedCap. 50%Data Management Data Extraction and Entry Comprehend and interpret clinical documentation from multidisciplinary team members. Collect and analyze relevant clinical data from electronic medical records (EMR) for complex patient populations. Locate data through Care Everywhere and collaborate with external institutions as needed. Apply critical thinking to analyze lab results, track ongoing lab/culture reports, and interpret CF-specific treatments, care guidelines, medications, and complications. Ensure timely and accurate entry of clinical data from office visits and hospitalizations into the CF database. Submit annual data registry reports, ensuring accuracy for 600+ CF patients and 100+ CRMS patients. Data Reporting Generate and deliver queries and data reports for multidisciplinary care teams and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor patient appointments, lab tests, and evaluations to ensure adherence to care standards. 20%- Process Improvement and Compliance Participate in process improvement projects to enhance adult and pediatric CF programs. Support CF research teams with IRB submissions and protocol adherence. Provide training and education to clinical staff on data requirements for accurate reporting. Engage in center site reviews, providing data to maintain compliance with CF care standards. Work Environment: This position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and involves a combination of independent work and team-based projects. The coordinator must maintain a high degree of professionalism and ensure compliance with all relevant research and clinical guidelines. Qualifications Required Qualifications: (Must be documented on application materials) BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience, or advanced degree plus 2 years of experience, or combination of related education and work experience equaling 8 years. Strong knowledge of CF treatments, medications, and care guidelines. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a healthcare setting. Upon hire, must complete required certification and training (i.e. CITI certification, HIPAA training, GCP and HRP coursework). Proficiency in EPIC, Microsoft Suite, RedCap, and Box Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in clinical research, data coordination, or CF care is preferred. Ability to travel to occasionally to research specific conference, such as North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference.
